Finding craft ideas for all ages can be tricky so here are some that work for us
Hand print reindeer
Families love to see little one's hand sizes grow from year to year and the children also can't believe how little their hands were.
Simply paint your child's hand with brown paint (we usually paint the dominant hand, the one your child writes with) and make a hand print. When it is dry add two eyes (we used stickers but you could also use googly eyes) and a red dot for the nose. Cut out, glue onto red or green card and then laminate. Hole punch a small hole in the top and threat some christmas elastic so that it can be hung on the Christmas tree year after year
If your child does not like their hand being painted you can draw around it with a brown pencil and ask the child to colour it in or they could wear a glove and you could paint that.
Snowman cards
Use a white card and cut a snowman shape out, making sure the left hand side is still attached to the back of the card. Cut out some black hats (we used zig zag scissors to make a design in the top left corner) and some orange card or felt for the nose. Then simply let the children make their snowmen with glue and cotton wool. We used eye stickers but you could use googly eyes too.
Window pane Christmas trees (you could also make snowmen or stars)
This is a good one for the tiny people in your setting or home. Cut out a shape in the middle of some gold or silver card and then place double sided tape on one side to cover this hole. Supply any bits and pieces for decoration. We used ribon, bows, sequins, wool, stickers and glitter (handy hint: put the glitter on last as nothing else will stick once the glitter is in place). Once finished decorating either laminate or cover with another piece of double sided plastic. They look great blue tacked to windows!
