Out of the mouths of babes

I just love the things that children say to me, they really make me laugh out loud every day.  Here are some of my favorites.

3 year old M came home from nursery and told me "Lana, I love a girl at nursery called Wucy (he couldn't pronounce the letter 'L'), she has yellow round hair".

P (aged 4) arrived one Monday morning and said "Lana, I went ten pin bowling with my mum and dad yesterday.  We had to wear clown shoes and pick up a huge ginormous coconut!"

I collected 3 year old H from nursery one Tuesday morning.  He came running up to me holding an apple crumble that he had made there saying "Lana, we made scrambled pie today!!" So now apple crumble is known as scrambled pie in our house.

We were playing doctors at home and N had teddy on the sofa with a thermometer in his mouth and said "oh no, teddy as a temperature of one million pounds, she needs an ice lolly ...... and I will have one too otherwise she will be lonely"

We were learning about mini beasts, specifically frogs, this particular week so we went to the wetlands to look for frog spawn.  4 year old P was looking into the pond with his magnifying glass and said "hmmmmmm ..... this is a good glass Lana, daddy needs this, he has rusty eyes"

At the dinner table W was showing us her two wobbly teeth.  N said "that's because your big girl teeth are pushing your baby teeth out of the way .................. you can't eat carrots, only jelly now"
