My first responsibility and priority is towards the children in my care. As an Ofsted registered childminder I am required to keep several policies and procedures in relation to how I run my business detailing how I will care for the children, being mindful of their individuality and relevant legislation by taking regular training courses and by reading relevant publications for example, Who Minds?, Practical Pre-School, The Foundation Stage Profile Handbook together with Safeguarding Children practices. I am a member of PACEY - the Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years who have a very informative website and lots of interesting resources.
A policy is a written statement about how I work in one area of my practice.
A procedure details the actions I will take to carry out the policy. My policies and procedures are listed below:-

2. Equal Opportunities and Admissions Policy (including Special Educational Needs)
3. Complaints, Concerns and Compliments Policy
