Services

We will:

  • Care for your child during the contracted hours providing suitable developmental experiences appropriate to the age and stage of development of each child.

  • Comply with all requirements of registration as laid down by ofsted and the Children Act 1989 relevant to Registered Childminders.

  • Comply with all requirements laid down by my insurance company.

  • Provide your child with nutritionally balanced meals taking into consideration dietary, cultural and social requirements as agreed between the parent(s)/guardian(s) and myself.

  • Manage your child’s behaviour without the use of physical punishment which would invalidate my public liability insurance and which is not an acceptable way for a professional childminder to manage children’s behaviour (the Children Act 1989 and the Childcare Act 2006).

  • Take your child out every day (weather permitting) to local community activities including mother and toddler groups, the park, for walks by the river, to activity centres (e.g. soft play), to the shops (but not to do my monthly/weekly shopping) etc.

  • Provide a safe environment at my home for your child. I undertake regular risk assessments to make sure that my home, car, garden and when on outings the environment is as safe as possible for all of the children in my care. My risk assessment file is available to see at any mutually agreeable time.

I also follow PACEY's Code of Ethics which can be found here.
